About

The FCC’s commercial radio operator licenses are required for work such as servicing aviation and marine radio stations and operating radio aboard certain vessels. Element 1 covers marine radio rules and procedures and, alone, earns the Marine Radio Operator Permit. Elements 1 and 3 together earn the General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL), which adds electronics theory and practice.

GROL Prep covers both elements’ published question pools, with lessons, explanations, drills for the Element 3 calculations, and reference tools for marine channels and distress procedures.
